well, almost a week in Tucson… it was a pretty crazy week, too many adjustments to do, a little bit drastic, tiredness, a little bit of stress, host family and roommate change, and it wasn’t so good from the biggining. last saturday we get into a “crisis point” where the lack of communication, tiredness and a bit of hysteria made that we explode cryingsaying everything that we don’t like to each other… hahaha almost half an hour crying in the bathroom telling us the truth, it has to happend at some point!… not always can get along with everyone and this kind of situation makes you grow as a person, mature in a certain way… you learn to manage certain kind of situations; and that’s how we arrainge everything. haha we had to otherwise i would lost my mind!.

Since Tuesday july 27 we’re in Tucson, and thursday, friday and saturday we were working at the Marriot Hotel, it’s a resort & spa, in the middle of nowhere! but is BE-AU-TI-FUL!  and we were there because of the 45th UWPIAA (up with people international alumni association), aniversary! a great responsability, because we where the current cast we had to prove that we are the BEST! and we DID IT!!!, all the alumni were so amazed by us! i met a lot of wonderful people, among those… one of the most amazing ones that i’ve met so far… Pamela Murtaugh, this women, is simply and fully extraordinary!; she manage to gather a bit more than 5000 people (mostly students) during the (i think ) 2007 summer, to help the people from the hurricane “Katrina”, by herself she made that message of dispare , cry of help that all the people were making at that time devastated by the Hurricane, made thru everything so they can have a little hope, that they’re not alone in their despair , and mostly that there’s people willing to help.

I got completely impress by Mr. Bell’s stories, he’s the founder of Up with People, and he told us how is that this organization was born back in those difficult years in the 60′s, and how they made China to invite them to do a show there! and how in a certain point they felt segregation because China wanted more Mexicans participating in the program back in those days. until someone rise his voice and they “fix” that misunderstanding. Or how during Mr. Martin Luther King’s speach, Mr. Bell invite him to have dinner at his house… and he went!!!!, along with other 33 more people!.

Stories of how the Colwell brothers were a huge part of this history, and by the way… i have the book of this and they gave me they’r autograph!!!!
Thousand of stories!, every 5 years (depending on the year of your cast) they have a reunion, so… in five years we will have our first reunion!

everything… is wonderful!
